How we do.
Ahhh…
After 7 hours, 3 states, cheeseburgers, Red Bulls, cheese curds, 4 magazines, 2 Beatles albums, some wedding discussion and assorted Kanye West, Jonathan Coulton and Guided by Voices songs, we finally made it to our sweet suite in Vegas.
I think this room may actually be bigger than my apartment. We had some room service, and then I took a glass of champagne for a spin around the jacuzzi tub. Right now, I can see the strip from our bed, and I smell like a pink cupcake. And you know who’s here next to me? My fiancé. Things are amazingly good.
How do we do? We do it well.

SLC and We
I could be a total hater on Utah, but it’s actually pretty rad. Yesterday, we ventured into downtown Salt Lake City with an article in the latest BUST as our guide.
After checking out a few shops, we ventured towards Nobrow Coffee and resisted the temptation of the Intelligentsia they brew to try out their coconut lemonade. While it sounded a little odd to me at first, the guy behind the counter convinced me to try it out — and I’m glad that he did. Hopefully, we’ll be able to recreate back it at home.
After Nobrow, we hopped into our car and visited Vertical Diner for some vegan eats. And while it wasn’t our beloved Pure Luck, it was a nice alternative. Tasty fries, good main dishes and a decent selection of beers. Next time we’re in town, we’re going to do our best to go back.
We had to meet Sarah’s sister’s family for dinner — so our exploration was cut a bit short — but we’re looking forward to checking more stuff out on our next trip. Anyone have any suggestions for next time?

Road Trip!
So Sarah and I are going to be heading to Utah to visit her sisters in a few days. It’s something we’re both looking forward to — not only because we get to visit people we love, but because we’re getting to take our first trip as an engaged couple.
Anyhow, we’re going to get used to posting updates on the site by trying to share bits of our trip. No promises, of course — but we’ll do our best…

I heard SLC specialty is a burger with slices of pastrami on it. Apparently, it’s everywhere?

I didn’t spot that — but I’m not sure a dish like that would be hanging out at the vegan diner we went to.
I’ll keep an eye peeled for next time though.
